Straight out of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Conjuror is the spell casting master of the dark arts for one’s fishy needs. The Conjuror is the better casting cousin of the Game Changer, one of the first iconic large streamers. We recommend a sink tip to help get this fly into the strike zone, but it will get down a little bit by itself due to some weight in the head. When we're guiding smallmouth this fly is almost always on a rod. It's caught some Bucknasty Browns and has become a favorite among our Bull Trout customers.
A stiff five-weight can handle the Conjuror well, but the bigger the rod the better it casts especially with a sink tip.
